Advanced Reservations

You are permitted to make reservations for court time at both tennis centers, up to ONE WEEK in advance, based on the hour played.

When reservations need to be made MORE than one week in advance, there will be an additional charge of $1.00 per hour.

Cancellation Policy

If you must cancel your court reservation, First Serve would appreciate you letting us know as soon as possible so that someone else can have the opportunity to play or to reserve court time.

• All cancellations made 2-4 hours before the court time, you will be charged half of the fee for the court time reserved.
  
• All cancellations within 2 hours of the court time, you wil be charged the full price of the court time reserved.

"Playmate" Ball Machines

We now have two NEW, state-of-the-art ball machines at both facilities. These machines are the perfect and most reliable hitting partner for tuning up your forehand or backhand. They can hit the softest drop-shots or the fiercest deepest drives. They can hit with topspin or backspin. They can run you all over the court. Do you want to drill at the net, or do you want to run from sideline to sideline or simply hit from the baseline? What more could you ask for in a hitting partner? They have endless endurance and they never tire. When you really need to work on your ground strokes or volleys, play against one of our new ball machines by PLAYMATE for only $18.00/hour (includes court fee, ball mower and approximately 250 balls.)

Demo Racquet Program

Are you in the market to buy a new tennis racquet? Is your old favorite simply worn out? Are you confused about which racquet to buy? Each of our Pro Shops has available most of the latest models from Wilson, Babalot or Head, for you to hit with. The daily rental fee is $3.00 per visit. (Driver's License or I.D. required.) The demo racquet rental fee will be credited back to you when you decide to purchase a racquet from our Pro Shop.

Racquet Restringing Service

BJK and El Dorado Park Tennis Centers offer the convenience of 24-hour racquet restringing services. We use top-quality string products offered by Wilson, Gamma, Prince, Gosen and Babalot. If there is a type of string that you need, we can usually get it quickly. Our restringing prices start at $15.00 and go up to $49.99 for Natural Gut.

When you are selecting string for your racquet, follow the same approach as you did when researching and buying your new racquet. Too may tennis players spend days and weeks trying out new racquets and then spend 5 minutes selecting string. Please take your time, review your choices. Ask our staff about the appropriate gauge and tension for your type of game and how it will affect your racquets performance. To get the most out of the racquet you have to do more than simply buy the most expensive string.

Policies and Regulations

3. When reservations for court time need to be made MORE than one week in advance, there will be an additional charge of $1.00 per hour.
4. Double Booking: Only one member of your group should make the court reservation. If two or more courts are reserved for the same group, your group will be charged for the other courts reserved by members of your group, at that time, whether there are open courts or not.
5. When group-players No-Show: If one or more players in your group are unavailable to play, the court is still reserved for your group! The reservation has been made and the court reservation fee still applies and must be paid.
6. Payment for all court time used is due PRIOR to play.
7. Once the court is paid for, there will be NO REFUNDS.
8. Your reserved court time will be held for 15 Minutes after the scheduled time, then “reassigned” when other players are waiting.
9. Although every effort will be made to accommodate court requests, court assignments are made at the discretion of the tennis clerk, and may change without notice.
10. Instructors that are not employed by First Serve will not be permitted to teach their students on these courts.
11. Merchandise may be exchanged for store credit only.
12. Black-soled shoes, that leave marks on the court, are not permitted on the courts.
13. Dogs are not permitted on the courts.
14. No food or gum is allowed on the courts.
15. Smoking is not permitted within the facilities or on the courts.
16. No hitting balls up against the windscreen. They are not to be used as backboards.
17. FREE PLAY POLICY - Senior citizens, 65 years or older, with appropriate identification and youths, 17 years of age and under, with student body cards, may play for free from 3:00 pm-5:00 pm Monday – Friday, on a walk on basis only, no reservations.
18. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone when, under the influence of alcohol or drugs, being rude, using foul language, abusing the courts and equipment, or not abiding by the above rules and regulations.
19. Making a court rental constitutes an agreement that you will abide by all the rules and regulations.
